Passion Pitch Poetry organizes poetry events in the beautiful and inspiring city of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Passion Pitch's goal is to help build the local poetry community, and to help spread words. The Passion
Pitch Open Mic and feature series happens on the last Saturday of every month.
We also organize special poetry events such as Poetry in the Park and Passion: An Epic Poetry Dance
Party. All styles of poetry are welcome at Passion Pitch events.

Passion Pitch recognizes the historical and cultural importance of poetry not only as an art form but as a the
closest and purest method of recovering the varied truths of existence that humans have contended with
since our ability to contend with them. All voices provide a different perspective on these truths and so a
beginner poet and Shakespeare contribute equally to our collective ability to understand the power to
penetrate the mysteries of life through words.
